Cross Country Season 2025/26

The Manchester Area Cross Country League (MACCL) season is planned to start on 11th October 2025. A whole £6 gets 4 races (or as many as you want to) plus the option to enter Match 2. Don't worry about being fast, we are all about having a laugh and eat a lot of cake!  

The provisional race calendar and start times are listed below: -

Race Dates:

• Match 1: Saturday 11th October 2025: Woodbank Park (Stockport Harriers)

• Match 2: Saturday 22nd November 2025: Sefton Park (Liverpool Harriers/UKA) - British Cross Challenge

• Match 3: Saturday 6th December 2025: Woodbank Park (Stockport Harriers)

• Match 4: Saturday 10th January 2026: Tatton Park (Sale Harriers/Wilmslow RC)

• Match 5: Saturday 7th February 2026: Heaton Park (Manchester Harriers) 

Fees:

The 2025/26 fee per runner will be £6 for the season (Matches 1,3,4,5).  

Runners must be entered into the MACCL series by 5th October 2025 to be eligible to enter Match 2 at Sefton Park. No late entries will be permitted. Entries for Sefton Park (Match 2) will cost an additonal £3 per runner. 

All entries will this year will be arranged as a Club via the Team Manager, Elise E or Mel C, so contact them for details and join the XC WhatsApp Group.

Non-Competitive Members only: Individual online race entries will be available via https://www.race-results.co.uk when this opens. (Match 1,3,4,5 only)

 Race times:

• 12 noon U11 GIRLS & U11 BOYS* - 2,400 metres [*U11’s do not compete in Match One]

• 12:15 pm U13 GIRLS & U13 BOYS - 3,500 metres max=3,500

• 12.30 pm U15 GIRLS & U15 BOYS – 5,000 metres max=5,000

• 12:50 pm U17 GIRLS & U17 BOYS – 6,500 metres max=6,500

• 1:30 pm SENIOR, U20 & VET LADIES – 8,000 metres max=10,000

• 2:30 pm SENIOR, U20 & VET MEN - 9,600 metres max=10,000
